Abstract

In August 2018 the City of Jambi experienced inflation of 0.08 percent and the City of Muara Bungo inflation of 0.03 percent. Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 132.61 and Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) was recorded at 131.24.
Inflation in the City of Jambi occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services expenditures due to an increase in the index and inflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 3 (three) groups of goods and services expenditures due to an increase in the index.
The calendar year1 inflation rate of Jambi City this month was 1.52 percent, and the year-on-year 2 inflation rate was 3.62 percent. While the inflation rate for Muara Bungo City calendar this month was 1.23 percent and inflation rate "year on year" was 2.26 percent
Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated the CPI, 13 (thirteen) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in the city of Banda Aceh by 0.50 percent and the lowest occurred in the cities of Medan and Padangsidimpuan by 0.01 percent respectively. Of the 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, as many as 30 (thirty) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Tarakan City was 0.62 percent and the lowest in Medan City and Padangsidimpuan by 0.01 percent respectively.
