Abstract

935/5000In March 2019, the level of inequality in Jambi population expenditure measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.321. This figure decreased by 0.013 points compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2018.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2018 was recorded at 0.351 equal to the March 2019 Gini Ratio which was 0.351. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2018 was recorded at 0.295, down from the March 2018 Gini Ratio which was 0.287.
In March 2019, the distribution of expenditure for the lowest 40 percent of the population was 20.84 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the low level of inequality category. If detailed by region, in urban areas the figure is 19.04 percent, which means it is in the category of low inequality. While for rural areas the figure was recorded at 22.43 percent, which meant that it was included in the category of low inequality.
