ECONOMY OF JAMBI PROVINCE QUARTER III-2020 CONTRACTED 0.79 PERCENT

Abstract

The economy of Jambi Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) based on the valid price for the third quarter of 2020 reached IDR 51.54 trillion and at constant 2010 prices it reached IDR 37.23 trillion.
The economy of Jambi Province in the third quarter of 2020 contracted 0.79 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the transportation and warehousing business contracted the most by 13.33 percent. From the expenditure side, exports experienced the deepest contraction of 20.28 percent, and was corrected by imports with a contraction of 26.10 percent.
The economy of Jambi Province in quarter III-2020 increased by 2.26 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the highest growth was in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field at 18.61 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Expenditure Component of LNPRT, which increased significantly by 6.31 percent.
The economy of Jambi Province in the third quarter of 2020 (c-to-c) contracted 0.26 percent. From the production side, the deepest contraction came from the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field, amounting to 15.50 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the deepest contraction came from the Export Component amounting to 12.60 with the Import Component corrected by -22.95 percent.
The economic structure of Jambi Province in the third quarter of 2020 was dominated by agriculture, forestry and fisheries which gave the largest contribution to GRDP, amounting to 31.08 percent. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side, much of the GRDP was used for the Export Component, amounting to 58.29 percent.
