Abstract

Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
In September 2023, Jambi Province FTT was 136.32 or increased by 1.45 percent compared with that in August 2023. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 1.84 percent, while the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) increased at 0.38 percent.
The price index of household consumption (IKRT) in September 2023 increased by 0.45 percent in Indonesia, which was due to the increase in the indexes of Food, Beverage, and Tobacco expenditure group.
Jambi Province, Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 136.03 in September 2023 or increased by 169 percent compared with August 2023.
