Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.

Jambi Province's NTP for February 2024 was 145.30 or an increase of 2.17 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increasing by 2.93 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers increased (Ib) by 0.75 percent.

In February 2024, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) of 0.89 percent, which was mainly caused by an increase in the index in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group.

The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for Jambi Province in February 2024 was 147.80 or an increase of 2.72 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
