Hasil Long Form Sensus Penduduk 2020 Kabupaten Merangin

Merangin Regency is one of the regencies in Jambi Province which has considerable potential. In terms of population, Merangin Regency is the third largest regency/city in Jambi Province. With the right strategy, the population as a potential resource can become the strength of the nation to realize the ideals of an advanced Indonesia. In 2022, exactly one decade of Indonesia's demographic bonus, BPS is committed to completing the mandate to carry out the Advanced Population Census (Long Form SP2020) with various challenges amid the Covid-19 pandemic. With the permission of God Almighty accompanied by the hard work of all parties, the Long Form SP2020 data collection has been completed. The Long Form SP2020 carries a big mission as a Benchmark for Indonesia's population indicators, Demographic Portraits of Merangin Regency after going through the 2nd wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic, evaluation of development achievements in the population sector in the SDGs and RPJMN, as well as being the basis for determining development policies for Merangin Regency towards the Latest Merangin Regency . Even though it was carried out in the midst of a pandemic, there were several innovations implemented in the SP2020 Long Form, one of which was the use of various data collection modes (PAPI, CAPI, and CATI). For the first time, Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) was applied in the history of the population census in Indonesia. SP2020 forms. This booklet presents a comprehensive picture of the population situation in Merangin Regency based on Long's results
SP2020 forms. Basic data coverage of the Long Form SP2020 results are indicators of fertility, mortality, mobility,
employment, disability, education, and housing. Provision of demographic parameters and characteristics of the population
is expected to be able to produce indicators to monitor and evaluate the achievement of SDGs and RPJMN targets in the sector
population.
