Economy of Jambi Province 2019 First Quarter Grows 4.73 Percent

Abstract

The economy of Jambi Province is based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices based on quarter I-2019 reaching Rp53 320 billion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reaching Rp36 296 billion.
The economy of Jambi Province in quarter I-2019 grew 4.73 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, growth was driven by almost all business sectors, with the highest growth being achieved by the Large and Retail Trade Business Field which grew 7.62 percent. In terms of Expenditures, the highest growth was achieved by the Non-Profit Institution Consumption Expenditure Components that Served Households which grew by 18.43 percent.
The economy of Jambi Province in the first quarter of 2019 slowed by -2.04 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was in the Health Services and Social Services Business Field at 2.87 percent. While in terms of expenditures achieved by the Components of Non-Profit Institution Consumption Expenditures that Serve Households which increased significantly by 4.67 percent.
The economic structure of Jambi Province in quarter I-2019 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries which gave the largest contribution to GRDP, which amounted to 27.64 percent. Followed by Mining and Excavation of 20.18 percent. While on the expenditure side, GRDP is widely used for the Household Consumption Expenditure Component of 43.26 percent.
