The Jambi Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in April 2024 increased by 2.49 percent, while the Jambi Province Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) increased by 2.77 percent.

Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib). NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.

Jambi Province's NTP for April 2024 was 153.21 or an increase of 2.49 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increasing by 2.85 percent, higher than the increase in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) of 0.35 percent. In Jambi Province, the NTP January-April 2024 increased by 4.11 percent compared to the NTP January-April 2023. In April 2024 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Jambi Province by 0.42 percent due to an increase in the index in the Food Group , Beverages and Tobacco 0.32 percent; Clothing and Footwear 1.77 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity and Other Fuels 0.22 percent; Supplies, Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance 0.43 percent; Health 0.26 percent; Transportation 0.25 percent; Recreation, Sports and Culture 0.74 percent; Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision 0.46 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services 1.04 percent.

The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for Jambi Province in April 2024 was 157.95 or an increase of 2.77 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.

Jambi Province's Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in January 2025 was 170.70, down 0.86 percent, while the Household Business Exchange Rate Agriculture (NTUP) Jambi Province was 172.42, down 1.47 percent
